The genre needle is about as jazz as it gets with this one while occasionally dipping even further into the realms of ambient looping and soundscapes ala Torn on "100 Years Ocean" and "Prelude". Shorter improvised tracks such as "More In Time" and "Upbeat" delve into the palette-cleansing realms of avant improv...employing non-native instruments and odd sounds. The rest of the tracks rest easily in the ECM tradition of tasty guitar jazz with warm electric and acoustic tones. Space and melody take precedent here over chops or attention seeking, though those attributes are not invalid when encountered on the road to music-making.
